Why is the left edge of my window (aka "the gutter") a different color?

SlickEdit Support:
You are either using a different "Line Prefix Area" color or you may have turned show "Modified Lines" on.

To change the color of your "Line Prefix Area", go to Tools-->Options-->Appearance-->Colors-->Margins section-->Line Prefix area and check the Inherit checkbox.

To toggle the "Modified Lines" feature, go to the Tools-->Options-->Languages-->All Languages-->View and uncheck Modified Lines checkbox.
