find dialog finds NOTHING!
« on: August 26, 2014, 06:28:19 PM »
If I attempt to find text that I know exists in my project, none of the following options finds it:

Search - Find...
Search - Find in Files...
Ctrl-F

If I revert back to Slickedit 2013, everything works great.

right clicking on a symbol, and choosing Quick Search works just fine, but don't know what I need to do to get find working.  Do I need to rebuild my project?

Did you turn on a color to search for?  Look just below the Color... button.

Something changed there, but that's a button I have never used.  When I clicked on it I noticed that some of the elements had gray checks and others had black checks.  None were unchecked.

Apparently that was the issue, because when I set them all to gray, everything works and it says "Colors: None".  I don't remember what the setting was before I clicked on the Color... but the None had something in it's place.

What is the default...all gray?

Also, I have to expand the height of the Find and Replace dialog box to see the Find and Stop buttons.  There is still something wrong with that window.

Thanks,
Steve

Yes, the default is all gray.

The size issue will be fixed for the next beta.
