On one occasion closing SE, I got a message shown in the attached screenshot. The message is:

Windows detected that this program did not run correctly

Anything to be concerned about.

From my side, SE did not do anything wrong. It is a little annoying to get this message, but it probably should not be there?

Not sure if this has anything to do with it - I sometimes change my screen resolution as I am remotely controlling the PC from different size monitors.

That link on the bottom of compatibility assistant form "What settings are applied?",  could you click on that and see if says what it did?  That might help track whats going on there.
