It is sometimes being really slow.
Just now, it appeared to be locked up for at least 30 seconds.
When I broke (ctrl+alt+f2) I get this error:

Slick-C Error

It looks like it was still filtering.

I closed slick, opened it again.

Now, in Backup History when I type in "filespecs", it responds nearly instantaneously.
When I broke it before, it had been hung for more than 30 seconds.
HM.... I don't know what exactly the repro is, but if I play with the browser window a bunch, then typing in filespecs becomes incredibly slow.

No matter what I type in Filespecs, *everything* is filtered out (except the day headers).

What if you type a '*'?

I captured a profile of a time where the browser took a very long time to respond. Attached.

Also, when I saved the profile, I got a stack.

Oops, that last post was from a B5 install on another machine.

Here is another profile file - this time from B6.
Slick locked up for about 55seconds after I typed "as" (as in, asdfg...).

Does it always happen after you expand older items?

Seems to be related.

While "Other" is open, it is surely slower, but not always glacial.

Expand Other
Scroll to the bottom.
Type "*.c"
Scroll to the bottom.
Select the last item.
Slick takes maybe 1 second to process - each time you click a different item.
Clear the Filespec
Do it again....

Then, sometimes, it starts getting glacial - in the 30sec to 1 minute time to respond.
My VsDelta directory has just under 2500 files, 1530 directories, and 24,456 versions.

Type a filespec.
