B6: Linux 64-bit. Clicking on directories in the "open tab" shows no files.

Click on the "Open" tab on the left.  Navigate through your filesystem using the bottom pane, notice that the upper pane doesn't update to show you the files in that directory.

I can't reproduce this. Try exiting and restarting.
