I have a project with several hundred files in it.

1. <Cmd>+o brings up the open tab (I have it set to auto hide.)
2. I start typing in the name of the file that I want to open, this brings up a list of matching files.
3. Before the file name is complete the file I want to open is at the top and selected.
4. I press enter, this opens up a new empty file (maybe in the current working directory) instead of the file that was highlighted.

I expected the highlighted file to open. This does not seem to happen with every file. The file that doesn't work seems to fail every time. I can open other files in the same directory.

I am still using beta 5. My internet connection is not fast enough to download beta 6. As soon as I have a better connection I will

Can you post a small project  (.vpj and .vpw only) that reproduces the problem? We did fix a problem with the open tool window but I don't which beta or if there was also a problem like this. You could just wait until you try beta 6.

I don't know if I can. I will see if I can find some time to play around with it. I can't post my current project.
I spend a little bit of time trying to reproduce it with a smaller file, once I have tried the new beta.

I have confirmed that I still have the problem with the new beta (6.)

I also just noticed that a project created on Windows with the exact same file structure (work project but independently generated SlickEdit project) does not exhibit the same problem. I will try creating a new version of the project on my Mac and see if the same issue occurs.

Well, now I feel kind of silly but I think this was pilot error. I have two copies of the project. SlickEdit was opened in one and I was looking at the other. The file was missing in the project that SlickEdit was looking at but not in the one I was looking at.

Sorry for the noise.
