B6: Linux defs view doesn't show defs when autohide
« on: October 14, 2014, 12:38:14 PM »
Hi,

I'm not sure whether this happens for other languages, however the same project on Windows does not show the problem, so I'm pretty sure this is a Linux only problem.

To increase the visible area for programming I have all the views autohide. When I open a file from the projects view and then click on the Defs view there are no defs, however if I then click on the projects view and back to the defs view the defs are available.

Regards.

I just tested this with Beta6 on linux.  The Defs tool window is not updated while it is hidden, but as soon as you click to activate the hidden window, it will come up, sometimes blank, but then within a second or two of inactivity, the symbols will show up.

Check the setting you have for Tools > Options > Editing > Context Tagging > Updated tool windows after (ms).

Thanks. That fixed it.
