B6, Win7-64 & MacOS, Remaining Perl debugging issues
« on: October 22, 2014, 04:32:33 am »
I already reported these issues earlier (e.g. http://community.slickedit.com/index.php/topic,10248.msg43255.html#msg43255), but they may have been masked by other issues that have since been resolved.
1) The most annoying remaining issue is that SE always freezes when I start execution of a lengthy perl program.  Windows almost always reports that SE is not responding for several seconds.  Even if the SE build tab is visible, it is not updated for several seconds.  Eventually things "catch up", and I can continue debugging as expected.  All previous versions of SE did not behave this way!  I need to see what's happening in the build tab in real-time to judge the programs progress.
2) Slick-C stack when starting perl debugging.  This happens less frequently than on previous beta versions, but it still happens maybe 2% of the time I start debugging.

Things looking much better after quick test with RC1 on Win7-64 and MacOS regarding the "freezing" (issue 1).  Thanks!
