Pasting in search dialog clears selection
« on: October 28, 2014, 03:55:23 PM »
I have a minor annoyance with the Find and Replace dialog.

If I copy a string to the clipboard that I want to do a Find and Replace on, then select the block of text I want the operation performed on, open Find and Replace, then paste the string into the 'Search for' box, the selection in my editor window is cleared, so that when I hit "Replace all" it performs the operation on the whole document, not the area I selected.

Surely the paste into the 'Search for' box should not affect the selection in the editor window. This is really inconvenient.

I don't see these problems on the Beta 6, Windows 7 32-bit. What platform are you using?
