Tabs show up at bottom of floating window
« on: October 29, 2014, 05:28:59 PM »
When I open a file and move its tab to float it, it appears floating with half of the window filled with the Symbols, Projects, Class, Defs, and Open tools pinned.  When I unpin to hide them, they move to the left to show the file, but sometimes the tabs on the bottom and the original scroll bar fail to disappear (see attached picture).

This only happens when I grab the tab and move it out of the editor window.  If I double click the tab, the window displays correctly.

Reproduced on Ubuntu 12. Couldn't reproduce on Windows. Haven't tried others.

On Windows RC1, when I drag a file tab to create a new window, the tools docked on the left side always show up open and pinned. In the main window they are not pinned. Is that intentional? If so, can you consider changing it so that the pin state matches the original window?

RC2, Win64: Tabs show up at bottom of floating window

Still there in RC2.

I've had a chance to look into it further and this is what I found.

1. Open a file so the tab shows in the parent.
2. Double click the tab to float the window.
3. Unpin the tool windows on the left.
4. The tabs from the pinned windows will show up on the bottom.

This only works for files that when opened, will have a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the screen.  If the entire width of the text will fit in the window so that no scroll bar is generated, everything looks okay.  So maybe there's a missing call to draw a scroll bar?
