I have Search Results floating with 10 Search tabs Search<9> through Search<0>

When I install LC1 and started the editor only Search<1> and Search<0> where displayed, so I opened 8 other tabs.

I closed SE and the next time I started it the Search Results had Search<1> and Search<0>, This did not happen in BETA6 and earlier

Yes, we are no longer able to restore them the same way as before.  I am adding a new configuration variable that will allow you to set the starting number of Search Results tabs to start that will be configurable through Tools > Options.  Should be able to make it into the next build.
