SE GUI copy/past : SE Stack Error : Find and Replace dialog
« on: November 03, 2014, 04:54:23 PM »
I am testing the current SE V19 RC2 (Release Candidate 2).

I found a repeatable copy/paste SE stack error - when;

You perform a [1] pop dialog, [2] select, [3] copy, [4] paste operation
cycle - using the operation cycle [X] below.

----------- Bad operation cycle ---------------

Cycle [X] Pop - Select - Copy - Paste -> SE Stack error

[1] MDI Menu -> Search -> Replace (pops dialog)

[2] Select text in edit buffer window

[3] MDI Menu -> Edit -> Copy

[4] (a) Select Search for: edit box - (b) Clear any existing text - (c) Right Click - (d) Paste (Operation fails)

SE produces a stack error on operation cycle step [X.4.d].

Screen shots are attached.

Operation cycle [X] is executed with an open workspace - and an open file
in the buffer area.

This should be the same bug as pasting into the Open tool window, which is fixed for the next drop.

Great :-)

I'll test it out in the next release candidate.
