1. do references on a symbol
2. select one of the results in the References tool window
result: Preview shows the reference file contents
3. move mouse out of reference window
result: Preview reverts back to symbol for cursor position of current editing window.
should: Preview remains on selected reference.   Worked in V16

happens it reference tool is either docked or floating.

Actually, the current behavior is correct.  The preview window's responsibility is to give a preview of the symbol with focus in the currently active window.  When that switches back to an editor window, then it should display the symbol under the cursor for that editor window.

If you want references to control it's own private preview window, then switch the References to the two-pane mode where it has it's own built-in preview window.  That will always display the currently selected reference.

This is a change from the previous versions.

The point of keeping the Preview is to be able to use the mouse to scroll the preview window to look around and also to double click the preview to edit file where the double click is done.

also, the References window preview is not as wide/tall as the separately docked preview. (cramped)

Sorry, but if the preview window worked that way in V16, it was probably a bug.

You can resize the references window to make it's preview taller or wider.  And now in version 19, you can actually dock the references window across the entire bottom of the main window if you want.
