How to switch between Source Diff and Line Diff in Backup History Diff

When doing diffs in the Backup History I don't see any option for enabling/disabling Source Diff.

I really like the new backup history features.  I have switched the toolbar backup history button to invoke "history-diff-machine-file" since it seems to be much more convenient than the default for that button.

Why is there not an option to switch between Source Diff and Line Diff modes?  Or am I missing something?
