Continuous spell checking
« on: February 23, 2015, 11:05:57 AM »
Hi,

Is it possible to have a background spell checker, such that misspelled words are highlighted automatically? I'm currently writing a LaTeX document, and I'm missing this.

Definitely a good idea. I've wanted this myself.

Hey yeah, I noticed your spelling was terrible Clark :)

So how many things on the todo list now then?

;D I definitely need spelling help!

Ideally this should automatically support text files, comments, HTML,  and DOCBOOK (which we use).

Would suggest options to allow users to restrict continuous spell check to comments, strings, etc. ... kind of like the current spell check options.

Such a feature would be even better if it could use the spelling lists produced in the Hunspell format, or ideally, used the Hunspell engine itself. Why reinvent the wheel...
