version control
« on: February 13, 2007, 01:07:26 pm »
When using CVS or SVN for version control, should the bitmap displayed in the project window change to reflect the status of each file....checkin, checkout etc... ?  If so, do I have to do something to turn on that feature....CVS works but the icons never change.... I am using Windows 11.0.2 with all hotfixes installed.

      Thanks,

Tim:

We can do this, but in a somewhat limited fashion, for CVS.  Go to Tools>Version Control>Setup, and click the "Setup" button.  Check on "Use CVS status for file bitmaps on project toolbar".

This is a little limited - it communicates directly with the CVS server.  For the sake of performance, it only checks dates to show if a local file is modified or not.

I hope that we will rework this feature for a future version.

Hope this helps,

Dan
