Setting up AutoHotKey as a new SlickEdit Language
« on: April 16, 2015, 01:37:14 pm »
Does anyone have an AutoHotKey language definition file for SlickEdit? I started to set one up but can't figure out how to turn syntax color coding on for it.

Thanks!

Hi hs2,

Not sure what you're asking here. Do you mean what the problem was an how it was solved?

If so, I had an .ahk file open while adding keywords to a newly created language (AutoHotKey) file and did not get any color syntax showing, so I was looking to see if there was a switch somewhere to turn it on. I opened and closed the file numerous times with no joy, looked at the docs, etc. I then open another AutoHotKey file and the color coding worked! Open and closed the original file, still no results. Turned out this specific file had its Select Mode (under the Documents menu) set to Text, don't know why. When I changed it to AutoHotKey it showed color syntax coding fine.

Is this what you meant?

I mean your 'AutoHotKey' language setup. So for now the AutoHotKey part of the user.vlx file containing your added color coding setup :)
It's stored in your config directory. See 'Help>About: Configuration Directory'.
