push-tag will not jump from definition to declaration
« on: August 04, 2015, 10:22:20 am »
Slick 19.0.2
I have "Go To Definition" prioritized for "Symbol Definition (proc)".
When I push-tag, I get the function definition.
BUT, when positioned on the func name of the definition, and I push-tag, I stay at the same place.
I would have expected to jump to the prototype. This was the behavior in previous versions (19.0.1, 19.0.0, 18, 17...).
I did not find a way to configure this.
So I made a slight mod to tags.e.
On line 3559, I removed the condition that removes VSCODEHELPFLAG_FIND_TAG_PREFERS_ALTERNATE from the codehelp_flags when either DEFINITON or DECLARATION are set.
Would this be considered a bug? The old behavior was much more productive and sensible.
Is there a way to configure this without modifying the code?

Thanx

E

I believe this is already fixed in the 19.0.2 hot fix.
