SlickEdit Pro 2014 (v19.0.2.5 64-bit)
OS: Windows 7 x64
OS Version: 6.01.7601  Service Pack 1
[/b]

When I double click on any files listed in the Active Project, or click on File Open, SlickEdit recycles the current tab, and opens the new file
in the tab which I was just using. This is quite frustrating, since I need to have many files opened at the same time.

I've been looking for the answer to this online and in SlickEdit's help file, but I must not have been searching with the correct "SlickEdit terminology".
Please reply if you know how to change this setting.

Thanks

Clark

Go to Tools>Options>Editing>Edit Windows and set "Files per window" to "One file per window". That should do the trick.

For some emulations, this default is changed to what you've described (Brief, Emacs, SlickEdit, and sometimes VIM).

Thanks Clark, that did the trick.

Oddly enough, that name "One file per window" gives me a different impression of how it affects the behavior of the editor.
