horizontal scroll bar does not appear for xml file
« on: October 07, 2015, 12:18:29 AM »
Using windows 7, editing xml file. Visible page has lines longer than display width. No horizontal scroll bar present. Then I click the caret onto one of the long lines. Still no horizontal scroll bar. How can I scroll display? I click the mouse wheel right. Display scrolls right, and horizontal scroll bar appears.

Behaves same for long lines and short lines. The xml is well-formed, no errors.

When editing a c file, it seems to behave ok.

I could not reproduce this.  What font are you using for XML?

Courier New 12 pt with anti-aliasing. Attached is a screen shot.

Also, when the scroll bar does appear (which happens once you scroll by using the mouse wheel right click), the scroll bar goes all the way to the right, even though it should be partial, because there is more to the line on the right.

Hmm...I can't reproduce this either. I'm guessing there's a trick to this we're missing.

Here's a very small xml file that gives me the error, and all the slick edit options I have that may be related. Just make the window narrower than the file and you should see no scrollbar. When it does appear after you right tick the mouse wheel then the scrollbar goes all the way to the right which it shouldn't do.
