Unwanted space added in comment block
« on: October 11, 2015, 01:25:48 am »
I use Doxygen-style comments in my C code.  The following is an example of my style:

Code: [Select]
/**************************************************************************//**
*
* \anchor      Touch__Task_TouchScreen
*
* \brief       Touch screen event task
*
* \details     This task receives touches from the touch screen and sends them
*              to the GUI.  A callback function is used rather than a queue
*              because the queue may not be able to handle the number of
*              events.
*
* \param[in]   zpvParameters     Pointer to the task parameters (not used)

* \retval      noreturn          This function never returns
*
******************************************************************************/

Notice the block above is missing the * between the \param and \retval lines.  This is critical to the bug.

If I place the cursor after the word "events." and hit enter twice to start a new comment block, I get this:

Code: [Select]
*              because the queue may not be able to handle the number of
 *             events.
 *
 *
*
* \param[in]   zpvParameters     Pointer to the task parameters (not used)

* \retval      noreturn          This function never returns

A space was added before the * on the lines that had Enter typed on them.  If the missing * is replaced, everything works fine.

Reproduced. We are looking into this.
