If I hit Alt then W to select the Window menu, the menu is displayed with the hotkeys underlined. I can then hit N for Next or P for Previous, etc. There is no hotkey for Close and the C is not used for any other menu item. I think it makes sense to add the C hotkey for the Close menu item.
