Syntax expansion
« on: February 20, 2007, 06:36:32 am »
(How) can I control the Syntax expansion ?
1. Change "definitions" e.g. space before automatic ';' ?
2. Selectively not use some
3. etc.
In general - where is all this documented and what are the $xxx.als files ?

As for the docs, if you're on v11, the docs are located in the Help system under table of contents item Edit > View and edit > Syntax expansion. Also see Options > Aliases - for most languages, you can override the default keyword expansion by defining an alias for that keyword. Files with .als extension are the files where aliases are stored.

If you have SlickEdit 2007 Beta, docs are located in the Help: Editing Features > Syntax Expansion.
