SE Pro 2015 jumps cursor to TOF after file-save
« on: November 19, 2015, 08:05:46 pm »
I just updated to SlickEdit Pro 2015 (v20.0.0.12 64 bit).  I installed hotfix_se2000_1_cumulative.zip.  When I save an edited file now, the cursor jumps to the top of the file after the save completes.  I have tried this on C source files (*.c, *.h).  I am using Brief KB emulation and I save the file using Alt-W.   This also happens if I save the file using File -> Save.  Needless to say this makes the editor entirely unusable.  Thanks for any help.

just re-verified SE Pro 2014 v19.0.2.5 64-bit with hotfix_se1902_12_cumulative.zip does not have this issue.

What happens if you run the editor with a clean configuration (vs -sc TEMPCONFIG)?

"C:\Program Files\SlickEdit Pro 20.0.0\win\vs.exe" -sc  does not exhibit the bad behavior.

I exported my config, then started SE with -sc, then re-imported my config, things seem OK now.

very odd, thanks for the pointer.

Do you still have the old config?

OK.  If you still had it I was going to ask you to send it to our support team so we could try to figure out what was going on.
