"Search for:" drop-down, arrow keys issue, (v20.0.0.12 64-bit)

SlickEdit Pro 2015 (v20.0.0.12 64-bit)

When I use the "Find" dialog to search and then later use the up\down arrow keys to navigate to a previous search in the "Search For" drop-down, it only scrolls through the search history that was present when SE was launched. That is, the new history will NOT be scrolled through. Once I drop the "Search For" box down and select something, then the arrow keys will search the entire history.

Further, it is not just a new launch of SE that can exhibit the issue. Add more new searches without exit SE and the issue is repeatable.

This is actually an old issue that I never took the time to report. I recall it in SE 2011.

Regards,
Jim

On a related topic, try F7 and F8 for dialog box retrieval. It's handy for retrieving a lot more than just the text in the current combo box control.

Thanks Clark.
Interesting. Just dabbled with it some. Never used that before.

It works on other SlickEdit dialogs as well (diff setup comes to mind, but it isn't as necessary there because it has saved sessions).
