SlickEdit 2007 Mac OS X Trial Feedback
« on: March 15, 2007, 12:56:02 PM »
Having smooth looking fonts is a HUGE improvement.  This more than anything else has me seriously considering a purchase of this version (the blocky looking fonts in previous versions for me was a show stopper).

My biggest gripe with this version is the inability to use Command-C, Command-V and Command-X to copy, cut and paste from the OS X clipboard.  Has anyone been able to get these keys to work?

When SlickEdit is the foreground app, go to the "X11" menu, and select Preferences. (Command + comma). On the pref dialog, under the Input category, uncheck the "Enable keyboard shortcuts" option.
You'll now notice that Command + Q now correctly closes just SlickEdit, instead of shutting down all of X11, and Command + W will close the active code window, not the entire application. And your cut/copy/paste operations will now work.

Excellent!  That did the trick.  Thanks!
