Problem with Format-Column
« on: March 15, 2016, 04:38:54 am »
SE V20.0.1.3 64-bit Windows  C++

"format-columns" command has issues reformatting a block as follow.  Right click and drag select just the body of the struct below.  Then do a "format-columns" command.

It appears that after formatting, if the 2nd column extends out of the selection rectangle, the 3rd column of that line isn't aligned/formatted as expected.

If you instead extend the selection box to provide plenty of room for reformatted source to expand, the format-columns works as expected.

typedef struct
{
   int Reserved_Bits :19
   My_Global_Types::My_Type_With_Long_Name  xxx :8;
   bool y :1;
   int Some_long_long_long_variable_name :1;
   bool zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :1;
} myStructName;

You can also use a line or char selection for this case.
