loading macros fails
« on: July 31, 2016, 05:22:51 am »
Whenever I tried to reload a macro file I get:
unable to create output file: C:\program files\slickedit pro 21.0.0 beta2\macros\lang2cfgxml.ex

You need administrator privileges to write to the profiles files directory on Windows.

Huh?
I'm not writing to anyplace special.
I was trying to load macro files in C:\Users\joe\Documents\Slickedit\21.0.0\

All slick versions previous to V21 had no problem with this.

I think this is related to the install problem you posted.

There are some date issues with the beta 2 install.

Start SlickEdit as administrator and load your macros. This will allow the v20-v21 conversion macros to be recompiled. This won't be necessary for beta 3.

That fixes it.

I also had a problem in one of my macro files - using "def_autoreload_compare_contents_max_size" - that doesn't exist anymore.
