I'd like to point out that despite my complaints here, I think that the quality of this beta release of Slick is quite good.
V21 beta seems to be much more stable than some previous beta releases.
Good job guys!

Much appreciated!
We really want to add serious enhancements to SlickEdit. We've made boat loads of changes in v21. The entire config system was rewritten and that's just one of the big changes. Some of the engineering we've put in place must be paying off.
We're having fun too

I'd like to add that the speed up is extremely notable and appreciated. When running native, it was already fast, but when forced to run across an X server (Linux -> Windows/Cygwin), the delays appear amplified. It definitely is more snappy.
