Search option Use not remembered to next find
« on: August 12, 2016, 08:50:11 PM »
This one is really bad for me as I use regex searches for everything...  :(
Open regular Find and Replace dialog (2xCtrl-f). Do a search using Perl Regex.
(Remember you forgot a search term...) Immediately open regular Find and Replace dialog (2xCtrl-f) again, Use is unchecked...

Yes, a change was made in the latest beta that copies the existing settings in Mini-Find to the Tool Find and Replace when you use it that way.  We may need an option or preference there or maybe just remove the feature.

Well, following the same steps as before the second time through I checked to see if regex was enabled in mini-find and it was. It's not sent through to regular find.

I also just found the option for default search options 'Regular expressions'. Mine was OFF but changing it to ON didn't seem to change anything in regular find.

OK, not as bad as I assumed. I hit the little down arrow to select regex in mini-find and assumed it was on due to Perl having a select by it. But it has a dedicated ON/OFF button next to that. Works for me once that was selected.
I will always have it enabled, I'm good with it as is.

Default every time still doesn't seem to work though, not that I'll use that either.
