Language specific aliases not migrated?
« on: August 23, 2016, 08:13:59 PM »
My current Beta 3 config, migrated from 20.0.3, has just a single C/C++ language alias defined. I have many (some by default, others that I created) in 20.0.3. I'm running on Windows 7 x64 and attempted to migrate again from 20.0.3 and on first startup of 21, the C/C++ aliases again had just a single alias (tag) defined.

Can you please zip up your 20.0.3 config folder (minus the subfolders) and upload it to http://support.slickedit.com

--Enter your USERNAME in the "Your uploads will be attached to case" field.
--Navigate to your file using the "Choose File" button.
--Hit the "Upload" button.
--Close the browser window when done.

Thanks

Fixed for beta 4. You will either need to remigrate your settings by deleting the 21.0.0 directory or export/import your aliases.

Glad you caught this bug. The problem was simple to fix but took way too long to find. One of the system configuration files has a typo in it. We are going to need to add some automation to check for typos like this one.
