I have a directory hierarchy of circa 6000 files. Sometimes I want to file diff two instances of it. There are multiple programming languages in it, and also binary files. The file diff first constructs a file list and then it churns along on it, but when it reaches a .cs file, then slickedit spins one processor fully for a long time. I usually kill slick, but I think it eventually will continue.
