sgrep and spill file
« on: September 16, 2016, 06:56:08 pm »
I was doing a FiF over C:\* (trying to find some long lost file), I noticed that Sgrep was writing a *lot* to a $slk temp file (spill?)

Why would it do that?
Seems like it would just read from start to end, no need for spilling or writing to anything really.

sgrep.exe doesn't write spill data unless the file is a Utf-16 or Utf-32 file. sgrep only support reading SBCS/DBCS or Utf-8 data. Utf-16 and Utf-32 files have to be converted first.
