SlickEdit Xcode 8 text editor extension
« on: September 21, 2016, 06:01:07 pm »
Any plans to do an Xcode text editor extension?   I'm sick to death of editing in Xcode; I go external file to SlickEdit, but that experience is imperfect, also.  It'd be awesome if I could just have my normal Brief emulation inside of Xcode's editor, even if you're unable to do the tiled windowing and all that (I think text editing extensions are more just about key bindings and text replacement, and so forth).

https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2016/414/ has the business about text editor extensions (disclaimer: I haven't yet watched it).    You'll need Safari, or something that can render HLS video.

Have you tried opening your Xcode project in SlickEdit? To do this, go to Project>Open Workspace and select your .xcodeproj project folder.

There are currently some problems with the iOS project support. We will be working on that.

I just tried an Xcode 8 project and it worked for me. Let us know if you have any problems.
