Howto: Configuring help?
« on: September 23, 2016, 09:32:23 pm »
How can I configure what Slick does for "f1"?

For example, when I'm editing a pythong file and hit F1 it launches a Google for the python word at the cursor.

I'd like it to launch local python help instead.

At the moment, this is not that configurable. All there is are two macro variables:

def_use_word_help_url  (true/false -- true by default)
def_word_help_url   (a URL which is passed to the default browser).

Eventually we need to make this much more configurable and have language specific urls. In your case, there would also need to be an option for a command instead of a URL. If we had a full spec in mind, we would have already implemented it. It helps that you asked for something ;D
