SlickEdit's Help: Zoom text shortcuts don't work
« on: September 25, 2016, 06:29:03 PM »
SE 2016 RC3 x64 on Windows 10.1607: The View-->(Zoom In, Zoom Out, Normal Size) menu works, but the Ctrl+-,Crtl++ shortcuts don't (Crtl+0 does work).
Also, in the tab Edit-->Preferences-->Fonts-->Browser, setting a font family or size has no effect on setting a default body text font family or size for the help window. (I'd like a default text size of roughly 150% of the current default on my FHD screen, and something like a condensed sans-serif font.)

Ctrl+PadPlus and Ctrl+PadMinus work for me.

Unfortunately, setting the font doesn't work. That's something that got lost when we switched to Qt Help.

Make sure that if you try to press the + sign above the = sign that you type Ctrl+Shift+Equal and not just Ctrl+Equal.

Eureka! The shift key *is* required for the plus sign, unlike in web browsers. Also, Ctrl+MinusSign does work... why didn't work for me yesterday? Reminder to self: test everything more than twice before posting...

A pity about the font choices dialog, though: why won't it work? Is the Qt Help browser a less maintained part of the Qt suite?

Qt help is the best multi platform help system. Not perfect though. I wish the advanced searching was better but I'm really picky. All mobile email searching I've tried is garbage and frustratingly limited.
