Got it again. This time, I remember what I was doing. I was in a perl script, and it happened when I typed the second ':' character after Cwd: below:

Code: [Select]
my $msgmgr_path = Cwd::

The stack info is attached.

Another stack, this time in a c++ file, see attached. It happened when I tried to type a "t" after the "pass_fail_t re" below in a c++ file:

Code: [Select]
pass_fail_t create_output_dirs(std::vector<wxString> input_file_names)
{
    pass_fail_t re

Haven't been able to reproduce these.

Can you reproduce these with a clean config? (vs +new -sc <tempdir>)

What version of Perl do you have installed?

I can't reproduce these, they happen randomly. After it happens once, goes away.

I have 2 perl installed:

activestate perl at: 5.16.3
cygwin perl at: 5.14.2

I also got a stack in c++ file in my most recent report.

Which perl files are getting tagged (Tools>Tag Files click on perl.vtg to view the files).

oops, just realized the perl stack that I got was on linux, not on windows. So perl versions I gave you before were not correct.

So in my linux domain, the tag files are at:

/opt/swe/tools/ext/gnu/perl-5.8.7_threads

So looks like perl 5.8.7 there.

As this is large company, we use linux domain that has many clients, so the perl install is in a shared directory /opt/swe/tools/gnu/perl-5.8.7_threads, and not in a system like place (/usr).

I was seeing these all the time today when I tried to "Go to Reference" on anything.

I am running:
OS: Linux
OS Version: Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS
Kernel Level: 3.13.0-100-generic
Build Version: #147-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 18 16:48:51 UTC 2016
Processor Architecture: x86_64

X Server Vendor: The X.Org Foundation
Memory: 23% Load, 1651MB/6999MB Virtual
Shell Information: /opt/slickedit-pro2016/bin/secsh -i
Screen Size: 1916 x 1019

Project Type: Cpp
Language: .cpp (C/C++)
Encoding: Automatic

Hotfixes:
/home/build/.slickedit/21.0.0/hotfixes/hotfix_se2100_4_cumulative.zip (Revision: 4)

I tried to delete the tag file an re-tag... no luck.

Eventually, I moved my 21.0.0 config directory, reloaded clean, then imported my save options. Now all is working fine.
