I know, MUCH easier said than done, but perhaps a mechanism to let VSE use Eclipse plugins.
I am getting pressured all of the time to learn/use Eclipse more because there is always a new, honestly impressive plugin that makes something with a framework or a jpa like hibernate instant instead of a chore or does something fantastically easy with servlet container/web server ( i.e. weblogic, etc ).
I think I might eventually get pushed toward using the VSE plugin for Eclipse ( if I can't get what I want from other editor plugins ). I would rather not. I've been using VSE for a decade and I like it.
Eclipse is the only threat to VSE I have ever seen during those ten years.
