Allow some options to be made per-project.
« on: July 20, 2015, 06:20:27 pm »
1. Allow some options to be made per-project. For example, in order to edit Linux kernel files, I need to change the brace placement, the tab width, and also turn off "save tabs as spaces". These are in a couple of different places that take a lot of pointing and clicking to find. Then to go back to Company code settings, I have to reverse those. If these sorts of settings could be saved as part of the SlickEdit project, then it would significantly improve my workflow.

2. Better (maybe multi-threaded) tagging performance on large (say, 40,000 files) projects. These days, having the ability to parallelize the tagging will probably help. It certainly will on my system, which has a ridiculous amount of CPU cores and RAM, but is still bottlenecked in SlickEdit tagging.

More project specifics settings would be nice.

We are always working on ways to speed up tagging. More threading and even faster database indexing  planned for the future.
