I'm working on some bash_completion scripts, which are extensionless and I want to map to Bourne Shell.  When I opened a file in my project, it was Plain Text.  I went up to Document->Select Mode and changed the type to Bourne Shell.  It prompts me, as expected, whether to map the one file, all files of the same name, or the directory.  I choose the directory.   However, any other file I open in that directory is still mapped as Plain Text.   Moreover, if I exit SE and restart it, the file that was mapped as Bourne Shell is reverted back to Plain Text.

What is more odd, is that if I use the -sc option to try on a clean configuration, it won't change the type of the current file at all if the request to change all extensionless in a directory is selected.

Hmm...Works on Windows but doesn't seem to work on Unix. Not sure what's going on. Tell you more when I figure it out.

Works on Windows by dumb luck. You can work around the problem by manually adding an entry to the Advanced File Mappings dialog which starts with **/. The problem appears to be with absolute directories.  Change /home/user/whatever/* to **/home/user/whatever/*. Tools>Options>Languages>Advanced File Mappings.
