embedding pictures in code text
« on: August 11, 2017, 05:55:12 am »
We are using plantUml inside our source code to explain complex things. A little macro, started by key press, causes plantUml to generate a png from a plantuml syntax in a comment block and display it outside SE.
It would be very conveniant if it would be possible to display a png inside the text view window on a given position, scrolling with the text, as a feature reachable via slick-c in a macro. Of course the png is not part of the text file and will not be stored inside the text. Its display in the view window will only live as long as the view exists.
Is this possible?

Not possible with a macro. You could display something in a docked tool window.
