How to set the background color for the whole file ?

Hi I'm dummy on this, I went to
tools -> options -> colors,
just cannot find an option says "background color" for the entire file.

I think mean how do you change the background color for all the edit window elements.

Select the "Window Text" element and set it's background. The other edit window elements inherit this background.
