Spell check different colors

I tried to spell check a tex file on the fly, but the text did not spell check. Comments did though. I tried to change colours to spell check, and pressed apply button, but nothing happened. After a restart, then the new colours were spell checked, so now I can get tex files spell checked on the fly!
