macOS: Closing SlickEdit 2017 help window crashes
« on: September 08, 2017, 12:55:41 PM »
Here are the reproduction steps:

  • Start SlickEdit 2017
  • Click on Help -> Index... in the menu bar to open the help index
  • Close the Help Index window

The result on my Early 2016 MacBook Pro running macOS Sierra 10.12.6 is a crash. The captured crash report is attached.

Trying to figure out if we're seeing the same thing as you: how are you closing it?  Command-w, clicking on the X, Ctrl-Q?

For us, it can crash with Command-W, but not the other methods.

Can be reproduced on Windows by pressing Ctrl+W. It's portable. Alt+F4 works fine on Windows.

This should be fixed for the next drop.
