In the "Special Characters" options window, the "Display tab graphic" and "Display space graphic" options don't seem to be honored when the app starts up. The graphic characters are displayed even if the options are turned off.
This problem also exists in 21.0.3 so it's not new to V22.
To reproduce:
1. In the Special Characters window, turn off the "Display tab graphic" and "Display space graphic" options. If one or both are already turned off, first turn them on, and then back off.
2. Click OK.
3. The tab/space graphic characters are not visible in a code window.
4. Close the application and re-open.
5. The tab/space graphic characters are visible in a code window, but in the Special Characters window the options are unchecked as expected.
