Status line notification area icons and pop ups font size
« on: September 27, 2017, 10:11:12 PM »
I'm running RC1 on Windows 7 x64. I noticed that I no longer see icons in the notification area of the status line (see attached image). If I hover the mouse over the right place, I do get a pop up message (e.g. Background Processes or Feature Notifications) even though there's no icon showing there. In Application Options/Notifications, I don't have Hide icon selected for either Background Processes or Feature Notifications.

In the pop ups (either when I hover the mouse over it or one pops up on its own), the font size is much smaller than previous versions. It looks like about a 6 point font on my system. I don't see any specific font configuration for this. Status Line font is Tahoma/8 pt.

Packaging error.  Thanks for bringing that to our attention.

The notification popups use the Status Line font, shifted down 75% in point size, so yeah, your tiny 8pt font was reduced to 6pt.  I'm putting in a tweak to only do this scaling for fonts larger than 10pt for the next drop.
