Ligature support please?!
« on: September 28, 2017, 10:54:50 PM »
Can we please have support for coding ligatures in fonts such as "Fira Code" in V22?

Anyone?  Still waiting to hear if this is coming in v22?

Well, guessing this isn't going to make it into v22, but really hope this makes it into v23!

SlickEdit team, can y'all give any sort of indication whether that's likely?

Are you on Mac, Windows, or Linux?  Mac is very doable, but due to the version of Qt we are using, Windows and Linux would be major undertakings.

Just a heads-up.  Ligature support is now available (Mac only) in the version 23 (now in beta).

VERY MUCH appreciated thanks!  I can get by with Mac-only support, but it'd definitely be a nice to have on Win and/or Lin as well.

Okay, time to get greedy:  It'd be even better if we could specify an "alternative display font" to use for ligatures (and symbols) in the event the "main" font didn't support them, but they were present in the file.

Also, is there any sort of conclusive listing of what ligatures SE allows, or is it any present in the font?
