Disappearing selection

Sometimes when I Shift-click to select a range of text, the text is briefly selected, then disappears.

I don't have exact repro steps other than the try shift-clicking a bunch.
I've recorded a couple of videos showing this happening.
Usually if it is going to happen the selection disappears immediately, but I captured one time where.

I've uploaded a ZIP with three videos and notes.


I don't think this is new with RC2 - its a long standing bug that I've been lazy about reporting.

This has been noticed before, but there doesn't seem to be a solution yet.

In my case, it is Windows 10.
Where have you seen this? Windows or Ubuntu?
Is your selection problem new with V22, or did you see it in earlier versions of Slick?

For me, Windows 10 and not new with V22.
Also, not very consistent.

I see this too. I am on Windows 10. Although inconsistent, it seems pretty easy to make it happen. SE support ought to be able to reproduce it.

I played around with this a bit more, and I think what might be happening is that if the mouse is moving when the click is released, it causes the selection to disappear. I think it might try trying to start a new selection, causing the old one to be lost. I noticed that if I made sure the mouse was stationary when I released the click, the problem never happened. Give this a try and see if you can repeat my results.

I just had this happen again (with RC2) and I was using the keyboard only and the mouse wasn't moving.
