Search is jumping to a different file
« on: November 29, 2017, 11:50:18 pm »
Please see the attached screenshot. I am doing a search in the top file and the search string only occurs once. If I do a find-next the search continues in the bottom file. I had expected it to roll over and end up at the same location.

I am not doing a multi-file search and cannot find an option under "Editing->Search" which would seem to turn this on/off.

I have attached my options export.

Thank you.

You have <All Buffers> selected in the Look in search range, which means it will also search other open files for the search term when it reaches the last match in a file.

Will you tell me where to find the "Look in" option so I can turn it off?

I cannot find it in the "Find and Replace" box or in the Options/Editing/Search" page.

Thank you,

Dave F.

...and I found it as soon as I sent the previous post. It normally, and currently, says "Current Buffer". It was probably changed by accident.

Thanks.
