Whats the difference between File Manager and a project?
« on: January 12, 2018, 07:08:45 PM »
It seems to me that a Project(Other) is a far better as a way to manage a list of files than File Manager.

I've tried a few times, but never found any utility in File Manager, it seems like such a disconnected feature from the rest of slick. Its sortof a text buffer, and sortof a list of files.

I use it a lot and think it is super convenient to browse a file hiearchy using a text buffer. It is searchable using all the powerful search tools you have in the editor. I would like it to be more complex than it is today. I would like to navigate lines with N and P. Move up one level using . and quickly open a file in a split view.

You know you can mark files and execute actions on them, like mark some files and then quickly delete them. Think of file manager as a scaled down dired in Emacs.
